Ecole Navale officer's saber, model 1937. Slightly curved blade with one hollow side and one gutter, marked on the back Coulaux et Cie Klingenthal France and stamped B and C on the heel. Gilded brass mounting (wear) highly decorated with foliage and roped anchor, spiral rope wrapping around the mounting arms, dolphin-head quillon, black horn spindle (watermark missing). Brown leather scabbard (uncut fold) with 3 brass fittings, clevis decorated with corded anchor, shell-shaped clevis knob. Total length 91 cm, blade 77 cm.
