Gendarmerie AN9 model musket. The lock plate is marked "Manufacture Impériale de Mutzig," stamped with a star-shaped L, "Mle An 9" on the trigger guard, and "EF" on the right side. The lock plate functions very smoothly. No trigger guard, unlike the Cavalry and Grenadier models. Beautiful, well-grained wood. Very good condition. Category D.
