Dumonthier-style percussion hunting dagger. Strong, symmetrical, double-edged blade with a central fuller. The guard consists of four quillons, two of which serve as percussion hammers. Single-trigger retractable system that fires the shots sequentially: the first press fires the left shot, and a second, firmer press fires the right shot. Two smooth 9 mm barrels with their original glossy black patina. Butt-shaped handle consisting of two ribbed black horn scales secured by three screws (small cracks and signs of wear). Metal sheath lined with fawn-colored leather, featuring two cut-out brass trims. Date: second half of the 19th century. Total length 32.5 cm, blade length 21. Category D2.
