Tobacco Jar Black glazed earthenware, 19th century Large round tobacco jar, bordering on the “composite” style, with molded decoration; on the lid, a cherub with crossed arms emerging from drapery, serving as a handle, and on the body, four cherub heads set within the folds of the same ample drapery with fringes and tassels. Marked with the number 440 and “U&C” for Utschneider and Compagnie Sarreguemines. Restored. H 23 cm
