Royal or Imperial (Prussian?) Navy officer's saber. Nickel-plated, straight blade with a slight hollow edge, finely etched with the Navy coat of arms, surmounted by a crown, surrounded by a sailboat and plant motifs. Blade signed Höller in Solingen. Gilt bronze mounting, keyboard with navy coat of arms surmounted by a crown, hinged counter-keyboard forming a scabbard locking system, stingray skin and filigree handle. Black leather scabbard with 3 gilded brass fittings (remnants) and engraved (clevis glued back on). Total length 101.5 cm, blade 88 cm.
