Pair of Louis XV period double-barreled travel flintlock pistols signed Perasse (or Pirasse?) in Montluçon. Guns formerly cleaned with traces of residual oxidation, round-bodied locks, breech tangs and all steel fittings with patina and decorative fillet. Silver rocaille pattern thumb pieces. Functional mechanisms. Bore barrels, round at first, extensively decorated in gold with fleur-de-lis, silver sights surrounded by an explosion motif. Walnut mounts carved with rocaille motifs, traces of wear and small localized chips. Original ebony rods with steel tips. Total length 29cm. Category D.
