Rear-lock, percussion-action, marked by the Imperial Manufactory of St-Etienne (works very smoothly), barrel marked S 1866 and Mle 1857 on the breech, very clear rifling. Light walnut stock, practically free of wear, with a butt plate and its small inspection marks. Rare. Category D.
