Cavalry officer's saber, likely German. Sturdy single-branch brass hilt with a cord-wrapped pommel, featuring a lion's head. Diamond-shaped guard, strongly curved blade with traces of bluing on one-third of its length and engravings. Steel scabbard with two brass bands (scabbard repainted).
