Unmodified Model 1777 infantry rifle, serial number AN9. Functional lock, marked “Manufacture de Charleville,” dated 81, and stamped “F”; recessed firing pin. Clearly marked “M1777” on the breech block. Barrel dated 81. Screw-on muzzle cap. All fittings stamped F. Pear-shaped ramrod (slightly short), trigger guard marked Oudiot. Light gray metal finish in good condition. Walnut stock with a beautiful period patina. Trigger guard replaced. Total length 152.5 cm, barrel length 113. Includes a matching-model bayonet. Category D.
