13-mm flintlock pistol. Lock signed “PIERRE HEN..X” in SEDAN (probably HENRAUX, a gunsmith in Sedan in the mid-18th century) and a round-bodied hammer, with a steel pan and a spark guard. The mechanism is stiff but functional. The barrel has three sections: a 5-sided section over the first 6 cm, followed by a round section over 4 cm separated by two ridges, and finally the remainder of the barrel with a ridge at the muzzle. All fittings are steel, smooth-finished; the openwork counter-plate depicts a two-headed mythical creature. Dark walnut stock; the stock pin is missing. In its original patina, needs cleaning. Total length 47.5 cm, barrel 31 cm. Category D.
