Fine polychrome glazed earthenware from the late 19th century. Small tobacco jar depicting the ruddy head of a contented canon with mischievous eyes, a trumpet-shaped nose, and a broad smile revealing uneven teeth. A black skullcap, perched on top of the head, serves as a lid. Marked with the number 8052 or 8152 and listed as a BB in the Horowitz catalog under number 99. Restored; has a chip on the hat and a crack on the front. H: 12 cm
