The head of a Black man with a receding hairline and curly hair, glancing sideways as he smokes his pipe.
No mark, but an identical model is listed in Horowitz under number 276 as produced by the Conta & Böhme factory. Along with those shown in Figures 8, 9, 10, 11, and perhaps also 22 and 243, this jar is part of a series of 27 bisque models depicting the heads of Black, Asian, or White people.
