Tobacco jar - Lot 52
Tobacco jar Polychrome glazed terracotta Bohemia, 19th century A piece similar in style to the previous one, depicting another child struggling to free himself from an upside-down top hat, which serves as the tobacco container. Engraved on the bottom: “BB” followed by the number 251. The same model, with the same mark but depicting a young Black boy, is listed in Horowitz under number 495. Body repaired; a few chips on the lid. H 14.5 cm
