Set of several tobacco jars
Partially painted and glazed Bohemian bisque, 19th century
Composite piece depicting a barrel marked “Tabac” from which emerges the head of a bearded sailor wearing a pompom beret and a wide blue collar, with a cigar in the corner. Marked “142” and “MF” for Ferdinand Maresch, Johann’s brother.
Small chips, a firing defect.

Snuff bottle
Porcelain, late 19th century
Snuff bottle with a slightly raised design of a forest with pale green reeds and brown-colored dead tree trunks, all on an ochre background. Same lid as Figure 132, featuring a pipe and tobacco pouch surrounding a white fretel.
Engraved on the underside of the lid: 66 LM for Lethu and Mauger in Villenaux-la-Grande, Champagne.
One hairline crack.

Late 19th-century porcelain - France -
Small light beige snuffbox depicting a sheaf of wheat tied in the middle with a brown cord. A hen perched atop the sheaf serves as the lid’s knob.
A white cartouche on the front of the body bears the barely legible inscription “Tabac.”
No mark.

Late 19th-century porcelain
Small white tobacco jar with a slightly raised design of light green rushes and a grayish dead tree trunk. The word “Tabac” is inscribed in red letters on the body. On the lid, a black pipe with a white bowl in relief and a sky-blue tobacco pouch surround a red handle, reminiscent of jar 121, which likely comes from the same factory.

White porcelain barrel decorated with green bands and a garland of stylized roses.
A horizontal pipe serves as the lid’s knob, which is itself surrounded by a green border.
No mark.

Jar identical to the previous one, decorated with pale green concentric circles outlined in black; a truncated pipe serves as the lid’s handle.
Marked with the number 964 and a stylized H.
