Tobacco jar Nickel silver* late 19th–early 20th century A large nickel-silver dog’s head, wearing a whimsical hat with a tassel and pompom as well as a superb bow tie, smoking a cigar. The eyes are made of sulfide. This head is identical to the wooden one listed in the Horowitz catalog under number 921, which is missing the cigar. No mark. H 16 cm
