Two painted earthenware tobacco jars, late 19th to early 20th century Janus-style cocker spaniel heads with collars and medallions, one black and the other red. The black version features a uniformly colored muzzle, while the red version is more delicately rendered, with a tiny red nose surrounded by fine, well-defined whiskers. No mark, but likely Staffordshire. Double-sided. H 15 cm
