Set of several tobacco jars Barbotine, late 19th–early 20th century Cylindrical jar decorated in pale green with stylized asparagus spears featuring pink tips. A cord threaded through them at the upper third of the jar creates a cinched effect on the overall shape. The word “Tabac” is inscribed in green within a cartouche. Marked “UC” for Utzschneider & Co. of Sarreguemines-Digoin, with the number 7015 A 3 L. Small chip. H 15 cm Tobacco jar Barbotine, late 19th century®, early 20th century Set against a relief design of blue and pale green oriental arabesques on a light brown background, two stylized fruits in a vibrant blue hang. The fréthel on the lid consists of three joined plant buds. Marked with the letter N, which identifies the painter or decorator, as this is a model from the Wasmuel earthenware factory in Belgium (owner: Auguste Mouzin), where Frédéric Thurner (1865–1923) was one of the decorators (his mark: a “T” with or without a square). There is a crack in the body and chips on the lid. H 15.5 cm Tobacco jar Slipware, circa 1900 Small slipware jar shaped like a stylized millstone in shades of pink, green, and turquoise blue. On the body, a large rose in relief with its leaves gives the piece an elegant appearance. Marked with the letter K and the number 811 in incised lettering, and with a black pen, A. Numerous chips. H 15.5 cm Tobacco jar Barbotine, early 20th century A 1900 jar in verbena color with purple flowers set against a brown rocaille pattern. The interior is glazed in turquoise-green. Marked with the number 70. Missing the Fréthel mark; several cracks and chips. H 14 cm Glazed earthenware, circa 1950 Tobacco jar, round and bulbous, depicting a pumpkin, in a bright blue with green and yellow drips, with the vertical sides in the round. Engraved with 528 S F France. Enamel chips. H 11 cm
