Large merchant’s tobacco jar from the Directoire period, reminiscent of a pharmacy jar. On the white background, a delicate blue decoration features a large coat of arms marked “Tabac à fumer” (smoking tobacco), which is itself framed by two stylized intertwining branches with small balls. Early 19th-century earthenware No mark, but likely made in Brussels. Chips. H 27 cm
