Large, urn-shaped tobacco jar from a merchant, featuring blue decoration on a white background. On the body, two intertwined branches of stylized foliage with small balls surround the inscription in large blue letters: “Tabac Saint Vincent,” indicating its origin: the Caribbean. A thin blue border encircles the base and neck of the jar, which is topped with a beautifully crafted gilded brass lid. The same decorative style as jar 134, but much more elaborate. White earthenware, late 18th–early 19th century, circa 1800, Roanne? No mark, but probably Brussels Repaired. H 36 cm
