Late 19th-century set of glazed stoneware from Beauvais Bottle-shaped pot with very delicate vine decoration featuring birds and bouquets of flowers. Engraved “V” mark. H 17.5 cm Small brown glazed stoneware bottle-shaped pot depicting a little girl throwing herself into the arms of her father, who is returning from a hunt. No mark. Chips. H 12 cm Bottle-shaped pot with a pewter stopper lined with cork, which is a true allegory of Love: on the body, between two garlands—one high and one low—of oak leaves with acorns evoking the forest, three winged heroes with their bows alternate with three trophies combining majestic peacocks and cornucopias. No mark, but the decoration is typical of Jules Ziegler (1804–1856) in Voisinlieu. H 19.5 cm Bottle-shaped vase with a screw-on bronze stopper. The meticulously executed decoration consists of four identical motifs evoking the legend of Zeus and Leda: she gives water to an eagle to protect the god, who had transformed himself into a swan to seduce her. At the very bottom of the body, a frieze of acanthus leaves. Marked with an incised “M” and an initial that could be a “J.” Two small chips on the base. H 21 cm
