A large beige and cream tobacco jar depicting a house covered in Virginia creeper, whose intertwined branches serve as handles. From the two windows, two women made of bisque call out to a man in Breton attire, also made of bisque, who is about to step outside. Above the door, a cartouche bears the word “Tabac.” The lid is shaped like a two-story thatched roof. Porcelain and bisque, late 19th century No markings other than the number 10, but it originates from Daoulas in Finistère. The fretel is missing, as is one arm of a woman at the window; the hat has chips. H 27.5 cm
