Painted stoneware 19th century Tobacco jar depicting the head of a mustachioed, smiling soldier, likely German. The cherry-red cap, held in place by a black chin strap, serves as a lid and features a compartment for a humidifying sponge. Engraved beneath the lid and in a cartouche is the number 6152. Two chips on the kepi. H 12.5 cm Glazed porcelain, late 19th–early 20th century Small head of a smiling soldier with blond sideburns, whose red kepi with a black visor serves as a lid.
