9th-century earthenware A celebratory vase commemorating Franco-Russian friendship and the brotherhood between the Russian and French navies. The coats of arms of both countries are inscribed on the body, along with the names “Gronstadt-Paris-Toulon” and “Cherbourg” on an upper band. On the lid, the heads of a French soldier wearing a cap and a Russian soldier wearing an astrakhan cap, leaning against each other, serve as a handle. No mark. France. H 14.5 cm
