19th-century Bohemian polychrome terracotta A figure seated on a tree trunk, with an expression of great dignity on his face, wearing a top hat, his hands on his knees, and a sash around his waist. This pot, with a beautiful patina from use, comes from the former collection of Eugène Jance and is listed in the Horowitz catalog under number 394. Like pots 34 and 218, it is one of over a hundred full-length figurines created by Bernard Bloch. Marked BB 8155. Chip on the hat. H 29.5 cm
