Barbotine, early 20th century Tall tobacco jar depicting a little boy sitting on his chamber pot, his shirt pulled up, wearing a nightcap with a long pompom that serves as the lid’s handle. His dejected expression, arms clenched at his sides, and chubby little pink feet crossed over one another show just how much of an almost painful effort what he is doing requires of him. No markings other than the number 460 engraved on the base. English work. Chips + crack. Height: 28 cm
