Leather-covered tobacco jar shaped like an urn. On the upper third of the body, three clay representations of Gambier pipe bowls with beards and turbans are attached; these are hollowed out to serve as pipe holders. The lid, also covered in leather and fitted with a humidifying sponge, is topped by a knob modeled after the bowl of Gambier’s famous “Jacob” pipe, which is also hollowed out to hold matches. Glazed earthenware and leather, 20th century³⁰ Marked “Longchamp France.” Some missing leather. Height: 20.5 cm
