Rosewood and chrome, 20th century
A recent, understated, and luxurious tobacco jar, manufactured by Dunhill, made of rosewood veneer with a polished chrome ring between the body and the lid.
The interior of the jar is lined with beige suede, and beneath the lid, a small humidifying sponge is enclosed within a removable, openwork chrome cover. While this item could be considered promotional, it is among the accessories that Dunhill created for smokers.
Marked “Dunhill Paris.”
