Exotic Wood, 20th Century A tobacco jar carved from exotic wood, depicting the head—flanked by two large, well-defined ears—of a gray-haired, wrinkled, bald old man with narrowed eyes and a bitter-looking mouth, perhaps that of a native of the tropics. The skull serves as a lid. No markings, but handcrafted—perhaps by a convict. Signed KOT. Height: 18.5 cm
