Sapper's helmet, 17th century. Thick, one-piece, wrought-iron bomb, with a visor and wide nape of the neck riveted to the bomb. A two-part headband surrounds the bomb and secures the whole. Missing ears and interior trim. Oxidized appearance with good patina, bears the mark of a musket ball in the forehead. Weight: 5 kg.
